Management Approach

The Company operates under the “Bangchak Initiative and Innovation Center (BiiC)” with the aim of creating a green ecosystem and driving innovations in energy and technology to address climate change (Energy and Climate Technology) and bio-based solutions in order to expand its business both domestically and internationally. Additionally focusing on innovation development and venture capital (IVC) as well as ecosystem and incubation (E&I) activities.

Astaxanthin Production Project
  • Developed astaxanthin production processes to create high value-added products in the form of oleoresin, alongside the development of an integrated algae cultivation technology platform, including specialized engineering design and cultivation system services
  • Developed prototype products for market testing, such as dietary supplements and cosmetic products, together with research and development of nano-astaxanthin particles, and expanded production capacity to the commercial scale in collaboration with strategic partners
  • Aimed to become a regional hub for algae cultivation and extraction of high-value bioactive compounds in Southeast Asia
  • Strengthened product differentiation and market competitiveness by registering the trademark “Asta A.® Natural Astaxanthin” with the Department of Intellectual Property

Ecosystem and Incubation (E&I)
  • Fostered an innovation-driven culture both internally and externally through the “Wrong DI (Wrong-Deliver-Innovation): Right or wrong does not matter dare to deliver your innovation” initiative, providing a platform for employees to propose ideas and further develop them into scalable business opportunities, while collaborating with academic institutions and research organizations to assess the technical feasibility of selected projects.
  • Integrated innovation across the Company’s business groups to stimulate the creation of new offerings, expand business opportunities, and enhance customer experience through the application of technologies such as AI at service stations and Inthanin cafes.
  • Implemented the TECHBITE Energy program in collaboration with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), with an investment strategy focused on five future technologies. The program supports and incubates 10 startup teams through expert mentorship, alongside business matching activities, enabling the development of innovations that effectively address real market needs.
  • The Company received the Thailand Corporate Excellence Awards 2025 in the category of Innovation Excellence, recognizing its outstanding achievements in innovation and creativity.
Ecosystem and Incubation (E&I)
Investment in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Business from Used Cooking Oil

The Company is a leader in the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) derived from used cooking oil (UCO), with a production capacity of 1 million litres per day. Through the establishment of BSGF Co., Ltd., it has become the first and only SAF producer in Thailand and the second in Asia. This bio-based aviation fuel has the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80% over its lifecycle compared with conventional fossil-based jet fuel.

The Company is implementing the “Fry to Fly” program to secure feedstock supply by collecting used cooking oil from households and a broad range of establishments, including restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, markets, shopping centres, and both public and private sector organizations. Additionally partnering with the Department of Health to launch the “No Refly” campaign. This initiative aims to promote safe and correct use of cooking oil by businesses, considering consumer health and environmental impact. The Company expands collection points for used cooking oil at Bangchak service stations and various partners across all 77 provinces.
